Full-Time
Playpark is seeking a growth-oriented Regional Game Operation Director to spearhead the expansion of our regional game portfolio in Thailand. Currently, the regional portfolio is a key contributor, but our strategic roadmap aims to scale this business to represent half of Thailand’s total revenue.
This is a high-impact leadership role for a strategist who can navigate a matrix organization. You will be responsible for bridging the gap between Regional Business "doctrines" and Thai local execution. Your mission is to leverage local operational strengths and knowledge while driving regional alignment to achieve aggressive growth targets. You will act as the primary diplomat and strategist between the Regional Business Director and the Thailand Country Manager (P&L holder).

Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Growth & Portfolio Scaling
· Revenue Expansion: Design and execute the operational strategy to scale the regional game portfolio from its current state to half of the Thailand business revenue.
· Go-to-Market Strategy: Lead the launch and localization of new regional titles, ensuring they land with maximum impact in the Thai market.
· Doctrine Alignment: Act as the "custodian" of regional business directions, ensuring that regional strategies are integrated into the local Thai operations without losing market relevance.
Bridging Regional & Local Operations
· Strategic Liaison: Serve as the primary bridge between the Regional Business units and the Thai operations team, closing the communication and "doctrine" gaps that historically exist.
· Advocacy & Diplomacy: Represent Thai market realities to Regional leads to ensure doctrines are realistic, while simultaneously advocating for regional standards within the local Thai team.
· Alignment Management: Facilitate regular syncs between the Regional Business Director and local stakeholders to ensure a single, unified direction.
Matrix Collaboration & Resource Management
· Resource Synergy: Partner with the Local Game Operation Director to effectively share and optimize resources (Marketing, Community, CS) across both regional and local portfolios.
· Knowledge Transfer: Systematically tap into the deep "local knowledge" of the Thai operations team to enhance the success of regional titles.
· Efficiency Building: Identify and eliminate operational redundancies between regional and local teams to create a leaner, more agile operation.
Performance & P&L Partnership
· P&L Collaboration: Work hand-in-hand with the Thailand CM to ensure the regional portfolio contributes significantly to the overall Thai P&L and growth KPIs.
· Data-Driven Insights: Provide high-level reporting on the health of the regional portfolio, offering solutions when KPIs deviate from the growth trajectory.
Qualifications
Qualifications
· Experience: 10+ years in Game Operations/Publishing, with a track record of scaling business units or portfolios.
· Language Proficiency (Mandatory):
o English: Business Level Proficiency is a MUST. You must be able to lead meetings, negotiate, and present complex strategies to regional and international stakeholders in English.
o Thai: Native/Fluent. Essential for managing the local team and collaborating with the Thai CM.
o Chinese: Professional proficiency is a major plus. This will significantly aid in communicating directly with development partners and understanding regional market trends.
· Matrix Navigation: Exceptional experience working in regional/local structures, managing stakeholders with differing priorities (e.g., Regional Vision vs. Local P&L).
· Analytical Prowess: Strong understanding of game metrics (DAU, MAU, Pay Rate, ARPU, CPI, CPA, Conversion, LTV, Retention) and how they translate into a P&L.
· Leadership: Ability to lead through influence and collaboration rather than just direct authority.
Key Competencies
· High-Level Communication: Capable of translating high-level regional strategy into "boots-on-the-ground" local action.
· Diplomatic Negotiation: Capable of managing the tension between regional flexibility and local operational standards.
· Strategic Roadmap Execution: Ability to think 12-24 months ahead to hit the revenue goal.
