The HR Manager (Thailand) is an operational leadership role responsible for the efficient, compliant, and accurate delivery of all core Human Resources functions within the Thai market. This role is primarily focused on HR Operations, Payroll, Compensation & Benefits (C&B), and Recruitment.
You will lead a small local HR team, serve as the primary HR partner to the Thailand Managing Director (MD), and ensure all local HR practices align with Thai labor law and the company's regional HR strategy. The mission is to provide foundational operational excellence that supports our passionate teams and rapid business growth.

HR Operations & Compliance (Core Focus)

    Payroll & Benefits Administration: Oversee the accurate, timely, and compliant monthly payroll process for all Thai employees, adhering strictly to local tax and social security regulations.

    C&B Management: Manage the administration, communication, and utilization of all employee compensation and benefits programs (e.g., health insurance, provident fund).

    Policy & Legal Adherence: Develop, maintain, and enforce local HR policies and procedures in full alignment with Thai labor law. Ensure all HR systems and record-keeping meet compliance and audit standards.

    HRIS Management: Act as the local subject matter expert for the HRIS, ensuring data integrity for employee information, payroll, and benefits.

 

Recruitment & Talent Acquisition

    Full-Cycle Recruitment: Lead the end-to-end recruitment process for all positions in Thailand, from requisition to offer, focusing on cost-effective sourcing and high-quality candidate experience.

    Onboarding & Offboarding: Manage the efficient local onboarding process for new hires and conduct exit interviews and administrative offboarding processes to ensure smooth transitions.

    Talent Pipeline: Collaborate with department heads to understand their talent needs and proactively build a pipeline for key roles in the digital entertainment sector.

 

Employee Relations & Performance Support

    Employee Relations: Serve as the first point of contact for complex employee relations issues, providing expert guidance to managers and employees on conflict resolution, performance improvement plans, and disciplinary actions in a legally sound manner.

 

    Performance Cycle Support: Partner with the Regional HROD team to efficiently execute annual and mid-year performance review cycles, ensuring local adherence to timelines and process.

Team Leadership & Strategic Partnership

    Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage the local HR team, overseeing their day-to-day operations, quality of service delivery, and professional development.

    Local Advising: Serve as the trusted HR advisor to the Thailand MD, providing timely counsel on operational, compliance, and local staffing matters.

    Regional Alignment: Maintain a strong dotted-line relationship with the Regional HROD Senior Manager, ensuring local operations and initiatives support the broader regional HR strategy.

Qualifications

Experience:

    Minimum Experience: Must be 30 years old or above with a minimum of 5 years of progressive experience managing the full operational scope of HR functions in Thailand.

    Functional Expertise: Proven hands-on expertise in Thailand Payroll, Compensation & Benefits administration, Recruitment, and Employee Relations in accordance with local laws.

    Management: At least 2 years of experience leading or overseeing an HR team or junior staff is required.

    Industry: Experience in high-growth, fast-paced industries (e.g., tech, digital, or gaming) is preferred.

 

Education:

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

 

Technical Acumen:

    System Proficiency: Strong proficiency with HRIS/payroll systems and advanced usage of Microsoft Excel for data management and C&B analysis.

    Legal & Compliance: Deep and current understanding of the Thailand Labor Protection Act, social security, and income tax regulations affecting payroll and HR operations.

 

Leadership & Communication:

    Bilingual Fluency: Exceptional written and oral communication skills in both Thai and English are mandatory for local compliance and regional reporting.

    Relationship Building: Demonstrated ability to build trust and effective working relationships with local leadership, employees, and regional stakeholders.
