There are several updates coming in September to streamline login processes and improve the efficiency and security of players\u2019 accounts. These updates which will affect all MapleStorySEA players are as follows:<\/p>\n

Removal of NRIC Data from PlayPark\/Asiasoft Online database<\/u><\/strong><\/h5>\n

In accordance with the Personal Data Protection Commission of Singapore\u2019s advisory guidelines, PlayPark\/Asiasoft Online will no longer collect, process or use NRIC information and other national identification numbers for the purpose of registration and verification of its unified Passport and game accounts.<\/p>\n

This goes into effect on 1st<\/sup> September 2019<\/u>.<\/p>\n

All previously recorded and stored NRIC data will be securely disposed from the Asiasoft Passport and iBox database. To ensure safe and secure data removal, the process is irreversible to ensure all previously recorded personal identification data will unrecoverable once disposed.<\/p>\n

Mobile OTP verification<\/u><\/strong><\/h5>\n

A mobile number one-time-password (OTP) authentication method will be introduced to secure your account.<\/p>\n

We will provide more information on how to convert to the mobile number OTP authentication method in a future webnews article.<\/p>\n

New Passport Portal<\/u><\/strong><\/h5>\n

MapleSEA players can now enjoy a new and revamped Passport website<\/a> which was designed to accommodate the above change and to improve overall user experience.<\/p>\n

During this period of change, all new registration of Asiasoft Passport Accounts at https:\/\/passport.asiasoftsea.com\/<\/a> will be temporarily disabled.<\/p>\n

However, you can still login and perform activities like creation of MapleIDs and i-Gacha accounts, password resets\/changes, @Cash top-ups and conversion to game cash until the migration to the new portal is complete.<\/p>\n

Setup bonus<\/u><\/strong><\/h5>\n

All accounts made before 29th<\/sup> Aug 2019 will be applicable for a special in-game bonus when they login to https:\/\/mspassport.playpark.com<\/a> to setup their Mobile OTP authentication. This login bonus period expires on the 30th<\/sup> of Sept.<\/p>\n

There are a total of four items: x1 Sheriff Quote Ring (Perm), x1 Sheriff Label Ring (Perm), x1 2EXP Coupon (15 min) & x1 Top Sheriff Title (90 Days)<\/p>\n

Rewards will be credited to the registered address of eligible MapleSEA accounts at the end of the event (1st<\/sup> week Oct 2019). Only Passport accounts that are successfully tagged to a valid phone number and authenticated with the OTP will receive the rewards.<\/p>\n

Do note that only 1 box of the above four items will be given per email address.<\/p>\n

Your NRIC\/National Identity may still be required <\/u><\/strong><\/h5>\n

While your identity number and information will no longer be stored, the NRIC may still be used for the physical collection of prizes and\/or situations where it is necessary to establish identity of the individual.
